This invitational exhibition at Mundaring Arts Centre was held to coincide with the 2012 Truffle Festival.  The eight Aurum artists were asked to address the theme of Black Gold; precious, desirable, all the more so for being difficult to attain.

For me this is embodied by the sense of stillness which comes from pausing long enough not merely to observe but also to absorb the quiet rhythms and textures of life.  Rare road trips, precious times snatched from the clutter of commitments and deadlines, are my means of seeking this elusive stillness.
